To celebrate the people, businesses, organizations, and attractions that make our city beautifully diverse and unique, the city is hosting a “Made in Newport News” event on Saturday, August 12, from 4-8 p.m. at City Center at Oyster Point. This free event includes live music and entertainment, art experiences, a beer garden, food, businesses, and family activities. Local entertainers will perform on stage in front of the beautiful five-acre outdoor fountain throughout the afternoon.
THE CAN Foundation will also have a pop up exhibition, a community marketplace, and a multimedia pop up consisting of creatives and artwork made in NN. CAN TALK will be present.
