The CAN Foundation is excited to announce the CANtemporaries Artist Residency. Artists of all disciplines are encouraged to apply for this 3-month developmental residency beginning in January 2023. During their time in residency artists will be offered studio space (visual and recording) at the CAN HQ, collaboration with fellow artists in residence, recording, performance and/or exhibition opportunities, bi-weekly critiques and brainstorming sessions, and a one-time $2,000 stipend.
The CANTemporaries residency is made possible by a grant awarded to The CAN Foundation by the Clara Elizabeth Jackson Carter Foundation.
Artistic disciplines include, but are not limited to:
Visual artists
Musicians
Sculptures
Videographers
Fashion designers
Dancers
The residency will include (but is not limited to):
– A one time $2,000 stipend
-Access to co-working visual and recording studio space
-Recording and performance opportunities
-Bi-weekly critiques and brainstorming sessions
-A culminating objective or project
