Parks After Dark is a new summer event coming to Williams Farm Park, packed with fun, food and free activities for all ages. Bring your family for live music, movies in the park, games of kickball, cornhole and lawn darts; bounce houses, and arts and crafts.
Parks After Dark is held every Thursday, Friday and Saturday over the summer from 6-11pm (except the weekends of June 22 and June 29). Parks After Dark, a new free event series from Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation is coming to Williams Farm Park this summer.
The summer of fun will begin on June 8 and run to August 26, with events held from 6-11pm on most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Visitors will enjoy live music from different performers each week, watch movies under the stars, play games like lawn darts, dodgeball and cornhole, take part in video game tournaments, meet their neighbors and local community organizations, and try food from a range of local food trucks.
Parks After Dark was created to help create a safe space for fun and family-friendly activities during evening hours when they are often fewer activities available for teens. The park program will also bring together a wide range of community groups and resources for attendees, including the Mayor’s Youth Violence Prevention Task Force, the Civic League, Virginia Beach Public libraries, Western Bayside Community United, Virginia Beach Police, and Virginia Beach Public Schools.
